Auá

Auá (Meaning "People", in Tupi-Guarani) was one of the few volunteerings I took part on the Amazon Rainforest, but the only one I actually founded myself. After attending professional acting classes for over 5 years, in January 2023, I had the opportunity to offer a 1-week theater workshop to 26 children in Atodi, an indigenous community located in Rio Arapiuns, Pará. Never wanting to impose an occidental conception of what is art over their own comprehension of it, the main object of the workshop was to help children discover their voice and body's capacity for expression, always relating it to their own practices and ancestry.
